"The Beach Blast Open"!

If you haven't registered yet, take advantage of the quick, easy online registration (see notes below) . You can avoid the lines and have your pre-registration package waiting for you! Remember, Only Cash and Credit Cards (no checks) will be accepted at the the door!

Please Note: All Non-Competing Adult Black Belt Judges (with or without students competing in the tournament) Will be Admitted Free of Charge!

Judging and Rules 

Point Sparring-Two point kicks, one point hand techniques. Five points or most points at the end of two minutes. Light head gear contact is allowed in all divisions, no groin techniques allowed.

All competitors MUST wear approved protective; head gear, foot gear, hand gear, mouthpiece and
groin protector (Male only). For the safety of the competitors, there will be no exceptions to these rules. No face contact allowed except in Adult Black Belts

Continuous Sparring-Two 1 minute rounds with 30 second break. Three judges will  determine the winner .  No face contact allowed except in Adult Black Belts

 Forms and weapons-  3 minute time limit, forms that do not comply with the rules of the division may cause disqualification or deduction from the judge's scores

Extreme Division- May perform any moves whether they are from Martial Arts or not. All Martial Arts, acrobatics, dance and athletic moves are allowed

Musical Division- Judged on choreography. Must supply own music and player.

Open Division- Creative Martial Arts techniques. Any moves more than 360 degree spin, body being inverted more than parallel to the floor or gymnastics and/or non-Martial Arts moves are not allowed  (540's, aerials, kip-ups ...Not Allowed)

Traditional Division- Must comply with the traditional style of the division

Breaking- 5 minute time limit includes set-up and clean-up, 10 minutes in extreme breaking divisions. Competitors must provide their own material and clean up all breaking debris (failure to do so will result in no score). Fire and glass breaks are prohibited.
                  
Self-Defense- 3 minute time limit or up to 5 defenses.  No sharp weapons allowed.

Team Forms & Weapons- 3 minute time limit. 2 to 10 people. Music is allowed. Teams will be judged on,  execution, originality, synchronization, and presentation.

Team Demonstration- 4 minute time limit. Minimum 4 people. May use music and props. Teams will be judged on execution, showmanship, and presentation.

Team Pairs- 3 minute time limit. 100% synchronization.

Team Sparring- Adults: 90 second round- total points. No weight requirement.  Juniors: 90 second round- total points. See age requirement.

Division Times:
Please note all times are approximate. Please be at the ring about 30 minutes early. The tournament runs on time.
